Kane Brown Celebrates GOLD-Certified Album EXPERIMENT and Platinum-Certified Single “Lose It”
Breakthrough vocalist Kane Brown is doubling up this week with the Gold-certification of his highly-lauded album Experiment and the Platinum-certification of his third career No. 1 single “Lose It.” All of this comes on the heels of his ACM Nominated hit “Heaven” being certified 4X Platinum by the R.I.A.A., making Brown one of only five country acts with multiple 4X Platinum hits, joining Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt and Taylor Swift.
“Lose It” is the first single off Brown’s No. 1 debuting (Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts) sophomore album, Experiment. Quickly building critical-acclaim, Experiment was listed in New York Times’ Best Albums of 2018 and Time Magazine lauded Brown’s “…willingness to stretch genre boundaries and highly personal storytelling,” recognizing him as one of ‘31 People Who Are Changing The South.’
The updated Platinum-certifications of both “Lose It” and “Heaven” follow Brown’s earlier certification of his chart-topping single “What Ifs” as 4X Platinum. Brown’s “Heaven” is also nominated for Single of the Year at the 2019 ACM Awards and was Country radio’s most-played airplay hit of 2018.
Brown recently wrapped his multi-city headlining arena “Live Forever Tour” with his official debut performance at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. In a history-making debut, Brown played to a ticketed audience of 75,126 fans on Saturday, March 9, earning the “breakthrough artist” (Associated Press) the biggest country artist debut in Houston Rodeo history and the Top 15th evening overall in paid attendance ever for the event. In each market, Brown partnered with The Boys & Girls Club to offer an exclusive VIP experience and meet and greet with local members.
Brown is currently included in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum “American Currents: The Music of 2018” exhibit, where his wardrobe from his first American Music Awards—the evening he won three AMAs (Country Song, Best Country Album, Best Country Artist— is currently on display. Brown was also featured by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum last year, beside one of his idols and mentors, Randy Travis.
With his No. 1 Billboard 200 release, Experiment, Brown became the only male country artist in more than 24 years to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, and only one of three country artists to top the Billboard200 chart in all of 2018. Brown first topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart with the release of his self-titled debut album (2016) and again with the release of Kane Brown Deluxe Edition (2017), which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and Top 5 on Billboard 200 charts. With his debut album, Brown made history by becoming the first artist to top all five Billboard Country Charts with his breakthrough No. 1 Top Country Album; No. 1 debuting Country Digital Song, the 4X Platinum “Heaven” and No. 1 Country Airplay, Hot Country Song and Country Streaming Song, the 4X Platinum “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina. Brown earned his third No. 1 single with his hit single, “Lose It,” which topped country airplay and streaming charts. His currently single, “Good As You,” is Top 15 and climbing at country radio.
