MIRANDA LAMBERT’S WILDCARD ROARS TO LIFE TODAY

Arriving to raucous critical acclaim, superstar Miranda Lambert’s latest studio album Wildcard is released today on Vanner Records/RCA Nashville. Listen here

Lambert performed the album’s Top 15 lead single “It All Comes Out in the Wash” Wednesday night on CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Watch here. Last night, she brought down the house at NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” performing “Mess With My Head” and “ Bluebird.” This morning, Lambert welcomed the new album on NBC’s “TODAY” with “It All Comes Out in the Wash” and “Bluebird ” on ABC’s “The View.” Sunday (11/3), she’ll discuss the album making process with NBC’s “Sunday TODAY” host Willie Geist on the Sunday Sitdown.

Critics are raving about Wildcard:

“Listening to Wildcard…you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll wake up from a blackout-drunk evening next to your two best girlfriends and a freshly dug grave that none of you will speak of again. In short: It rocks.” –Entertainment Weekly

“Rife with the honest, introspective and relatable lyrics for which Lambert is known” – Tennessean

“She specializes in the kind of country music that doesn’t fade in the background, thanks to her meaty songwriting, her ear for the genre’s most interesting sounds — and of course, her clear, penetrating, impossible-to-replicate voice.” – Billboard

“…while her writing still explores the dark corners of heartbreak and hangovers, she approaches those topics with bright, self-effacing humor and countrified cheek.” – Rolling Stone

“She’s been a consistent ray of light — a huge star who writes and sings tough and funny and thoughtful songs.” – Stereogum

“The queen of modern country” – Uproxx

“With the new project, Lambert relishes in showcasing a fuller range of her abilities, moving effortlessly from the swampy ‘White Trash,’ the uplifting country zinger ‘It All Comes Out In The Wash,’ the Texas-born strains of ‘Tequila Does,’ to the transparent portrayal of a hardcore romantic with a checkered past on the breezy ‘Track Record.’” – MusicRow

“the superstar singer balances unwavering honesty with her sweet soul and keen observations about the world surrounding her” – Sounds Like Nashville

Lambert’s first collaboration with producer Jay Joyce, Wildcard features Top 15 lead single “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” as well as “foot-stompin’ barnburner” (NPR) “Locomotive,” “crunchy, frisky jam” (Stereogum) “Mess with My Head,” “irresistibly catchy” (SPIN) “Bluebird,” “fun-loving” (NASH Country Daily) “Pretty Bitchin’,” “just plain good” (Taste of Country) “Tequila Does,” and “instant honky-tonk jukebox classic” (Billboard ) “Way Too Pretty for Prison,” which features Maren Morris.

Tonight, Lambert will perform an intimate Wildcard set and chat with iHeartRadio’s Brooke Taylor during the “iHeartCountry Album Release Party with Miranda Lambert” at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City. KANE BROWN RELEASES HEARTFELT SONG, “FOR MY DAUGHTER,” FOLLOWING THE ARRIVAL OF FIRST CHILD

Multi-Platinum, 3X AMA award-winning artist Kane Brown celebrated the arrival of his first child earlier this week. Via his Instagram, Brown first posted the news of daughter Kingsley Rose Brown’s arrival on Wednesday, followed by a post late Thursday evening announcing the release of a surprise song. Listen to “For My Daughter” HERE.

Co-penned by Brown, the song, “For My Daughter,” reunites the “breakthrough” (Associated Press) singer/songwriter with Tom Douglas; the two co-wrote “Cold Spot” which is featured on Brown’s Platinum multi-week No. 1 self-titled debut album. Chase McGill also co-wrote “For My Daughter”; McGill’s first No. 1 country airplay single as a co-writer was “Lose It,” the Platinum lead single from Brown’s No. 1 Billboard 200 debuting sophomore album, Experiment.

“I wrote this song when I found out we were officially going to become parents. I meant every word, and cannot wait to watch her grow up,” Brown shared about “For My Daughter.”

Known for the raw honesty in his lyrics, the “future of Country” (Billboard) has candidly detailed his upbringing in earlier hits, including the autobiographical viral song, “Learning,” from his debut album. An earlier preview of “For My Daughter” on Brown’s socials received millions of views in less than 48 hours.

“For My Daughter” Lyrics:

Someone to play catch with out back in the yard
To pick up the pieces of your first broken heart
Someone to say slow down when you turn sixteen
I grew up without a dad I’m gonna be the best one I can be

Someone to scare the monsters, when it’s dark in your room
Someone to put their foot down when you want a tattoo
Not just say I love you but show you what it means
I grew up without a dad I’m gonna be the best one I can be

They say dad’s are supposed to shape you and in a way I guess mine did
I knew what I wouldn’t do if I ever had a kid
They say history repeats it’s self well I guess that’s up to me
I grew up without a dad I’m gonna be the best one I can be

Someone to let you fall down and teach you how to get back up
Teach you how to be sweet like mamma and how to be tough
I’ll never be perfect but sure as those lines are pink
I grew up without a dad I’m gonna be the best one I can be

(Repeat chorus)

I can’t change the past but the past has sure changed me
I grew up without a dad I’m gonna be the best one I can be
Yeah I’m gonna be a dad and I’m gonna be the best one I can be

Written by Kane Brown, Tom Douglas, and Chase McGill

With his No.1 Billboard 200 release, Experiment, Kane Brown became the only male country artist in more than 24 years to debut at the top of the Billboard 200, and only one of three country artists to top the Billboard 200 chart all year (2018). An “artist to pay attention to” and “the future of country”(Billboard), Brown was named a Breakthrough Artist of the Year by the Associated Press and one of “31 People Changing the South” (Time ). The AMA, ACM and People’s Choice Award winning and nominated artist is one of only five country acts with multiple 4X Platinum hits (joining Luke Bryan, Florida  Georgia Line, Sam Hunt and Taylor Swift). Brown first topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart with the release of his self-titled debut album (2016) and again with the release of Kane Brown Deluxe Edition (2017), which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and Top 5 on Billboard 200. With his debut album, Brown made history by becoming the first artist to top all five Billboard country charts with his breakthrough No. 1 Top Country Album; No. 1 debuting Country Digital Song, the 4X Platinum “Heaven,” and No. 1 Country Airplay, Hot Country Song and Country Streaming Song, the 4X Platinum “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina. Brown recently earned his fourth consecutive No. 1 single at country radio with “Good As You” off his album Experiment. Brown’s current single, “Homesick,” continues to rise on country radio charts simultaneously with his first Top 20 pop single, “One Thing Right,” a collaboration with internationally renowned DJ, Marshmello. LUKE COMBS’ THIS ONE’S FOR YOU TIES RECORD FOR LONGEST REIGN AT NO. 1 ON BILLBOARD’S TOP COUNTRY ALBUMS CHART

Luke Combs’ double-Platinum debut album This One’s For You is No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart for the 50th non-consecutive week—tying the record for the longest reign atop the chart with Shania Twain’s Come On Over in 1997. This One’s For You is also the most-streamed country album of 2019 so far.

This monumental accomplishment adds to a landmark year for Combs, who will release his highly anticipated new album What You See is What You Get next Friday, November 8 via River House Artists/Columbia Nashville (pre-order here). Each pre-order of What You See Is What You Get includes an instant download of the title track, “ 1, 2 Many” featuring Brooks & Dunn, and the five tracks previously released as part Combs’The Prequel EP. The album also features a special new collaboration with Eric Church. See below for complete track list.

Produced by Scott Moffatt, What You See Is What You Get features 17 songs including the five tracks previously released via The Prequel EP earlier this summer. The EP debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with all five tracks charting on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Top 25—a feat not accomplished by any artist in 60 years since Johnny Cash in 1959. The release also propelled Combs to the largest streaming week ever for a country artist with 73 million on-demand streams (week ending June 13). Additionally, The Prequel’s lead single, “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” recently reached No. 1 on bothBillboard ’s Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts. This is Combs’ sixth consecutive No. 1—a first on the Billboard Country Airplay chart—and his fastest-rising single to date (13 weeks).

In celebration of the release, Combs is set to headline his first ever stadium show at Appalachian State University’s Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone, NC on May 2, 2020. The sold-out stadium show is part of Combs’ newly confirmed “What You See Is What You Get Tour.” The 2020 run continues Combs’ historic success on the road with all ten of the first concerts selling out immediately after going on-sale, including two record-breaking feats:

-Lexington KY’s Rupp Arean sold-out in 12 minutes—breaking the record for the fastest sell-out in the venue’s 43-year history (previously set by Paul McCartney)

-University Park, PA’s Bryce Jordan Center broke the venue’s record for fastest single-show sell-out (previously held by Luke Bryan)

Adding to his historic year, Combs is nominated for three awards at the 2019 CMA Awards: Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year (“Beautiful Crazy”) and Musical Event of the Year (“Brand New Man” with Brooks & Dunn). The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT.

Moreover, Combs’ latest Top 10 single “Even Though I’m Leaving” continues to receive widespread critical acclaim. Of the song, The New York Times declares, “Luke Combs has one of the most emotionally tactile voices in contemporary country music…even at his most tender, Combs is firm, stepping into the rawness of the feeling, not away from it.” Watch/share the official music video HERE.

MATT STELL RELEASES SULTRY TAKE ON ARIANA GRANDE HIT “GOD IS A WOMAN”

MATT STELL RELEASES SULTRY TAKE ON ARIANA GRANDE HIT “GOD IS A WOMAN”

RECORDS/Arista Nashville artist Matt Stell releases his sultry take on the Ariana Grande hit “God is a woman” today. Stell’s version of the female-assertive anthem follows his Gold, multi-week No. 1 breakthrough “Prayed For You.” “God is a woman” and “Prayed For You” are available now on Stell’s debut EP Everywhere But On. Download and stream HERE.

“When I first heard ‘God is a woman’ I was floored,” Stell said. “It’s such a well written song. The title is very provocative, but the lyric takes the song in a slightly different direction that really makes an impact.”

Stell continued, “It explores the tension between sexuality and spirituality in a fresh way. To me the strength of this song comes from its unapologetic sexuality. It’s all the more potent because it’s from a woman’s point of view. I think this song fits right in with country music’s tradition of sexual songs from artists like The Kendalls or Loretta Lynn to name a few. If Conway Twitty were around I could definitely hear him doing this song. A lot of my favorite music in all genres and all eras pushes boundaries. This song does that and I had a ball reimagining it.”

The double Platinum “God is a woman” was the second single from Grande’s fourth album Sweetener. It was originally released in July 2018 and was written by Grande, Max MartinSavan KotechaRickard Göransson, and producer llya Salmanzaden. It eventually reached Top 10 in 17 countries and was nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 61st Grammy Awards.

Stell is releasing new music as he continues to ride the success of his breakthrough hit “Prayed For You,” which remains at No. 2 on the BDS and Mediabase country radio charts after two weeks at No. 1 on Billboard and one week at No. 1 on Country Aircheck – a FIRST for any debut artist single in 2019. Stell’s sophomore single, “Everywhere But On,” impacts country radio on Dec. 2.

Penned by Stell, Ash Bowers, and Allison Veltz, “Prayed For You” has amassed more than 100 million streams and was certified Gold by the RIAA in September.
