LUKE COMBS SECURES FOURTH-CONSECUTIVE NO. 1 WITH “SHE GOT THE BEST OF ME”

LUKE COMBS SECURES FOURTH-CONSECUTIVE NO. 1 WITH “SHE GOT THE BEST OF ME”

Luke Combs’ “She Got The Best of Me” is No. 1 this week on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. This is Combs fourth-consecutive No. 1 single—following 3x Platinum “Hurricane,” 2x Platinum “When It Rains It Pours” and Platinum “One Number Away”—which all appear on the deluxe version of his Platinum-certified debut album, This One’s For You, released on River House Artists/Columbia Nashville. The acclaimed album has spent fifteen non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart, including 11 weeks in 2018—the most of any album this year. This One’s For You is also currently the most-streamed country album of 2018, achieving over one billion streams.

Combs is nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the 2018 CMA Awards. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on ABC live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 14 at 8/7c.

These milestones follow a hugely successful fall debut headline European tour, which sold out months in advance and saw Combs playing for over 12,000 fans across Birmingham, London (two nights), Glasgow, Manchester, Amsterdam and Berlin. In their recent cover story devoted to Combs, Maverick Magazine declares, “…it is with no exaggeration to say that he can currently be described as a country music superpower” and goes on to assert, “It’s by putting the crowd first that makes Combs such a big draw on the live circuit, and is another reason why his tickets in the U.K. have been like gold dust.”

Capping off the breakthrough years, Combs will embark on his largest North American headline tour in 2019—with 26 of the 28 venues already sold-out. The BEER NEVER BROKE MY HEART TOUR features sold-out performances at Greensboro, NC’s Greensboro Coliseum, Greenville, SC’s Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Columbus, OH’s Schottenstein Center, Charlottesville, VA’s John Paul Jones Arena, New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, Omaha, NE’s HI Health Center and Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre among many others.

Since the release of This One’s For You, Combs has been named Billboard’s Top 100 Artist and Top New Country Artist of 2017, “Best New Country Artist” at the iHeart Radio Awards, Music Row’s “Breakthrough Artist Of The Year” and 2017 Artist To Watch by Amazon Music, Billboard, Bobby Bones, CMT, HuffPost, Nashville Lifestyles, Pandora and Rolling Stone.

This One’s For You was produced by Scott Moffatt (except for “One Number Away,” which was co-produced by Sammy Mitchell and Jackie Boyz) and recorded in Nashville, TN at Gold Cassette Studios and Direct Image Recording Studio.

Combs released the deluxe edition, This One’s For You Too, earlier this summer, which landed at No. 1 on Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 4 on Billboard 200 Chart.

Arista Nashville Artist Carlton Anderson Has Home-Field Advantage When He Performs the National Anthem Sunday, Oct. 14 when the Buffalo Bills Face the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium

Arista Nashville Artist Carlton Anderson Has Home-Field Advantage When He Performs the National Anthem Sunday, Oct. 14 when the Buffalo Bills Face the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium

Full-circle moments are becoming commonplace for Arista Nashville singer/songwriter Carlton Anderson. First he records an acoustic cover of his current and climbing single “Drop Everything” at the Nashville honky-tonk where he caught the attention of the music industry, and now he returns to his hometown to sing the national anthem for the Houston Texans.

And there is a twist. Anderson was a high school junior when he was kicked out of the choir for skipping an event to go see the Texans’ Battle Red Day game with his dad. Now he’ll be center field at NRG Stadium singing the anthem at the Battle Red Day game between the Texans and the Buffalo Bills. The Texans will be wearing red jerseys for the matchup and Anderson will be encouraging fans to wear red, too.

Kickoff is set for noon/CT and the game will be broadcast on CBS.

Anderson grew up in Cypress, Texas playing football and music with equal abandon. After high school, he started performing in clubs and dancehalls in the area, but he had his heart set on Nashville. With financial support from his grandparents and the blessing of his blue-collar family, Anderson moved to Music City where he was the first to graduate college. To pay the bills he found regular work, a tip jar, and a devoted following of fans and industry tastemakers at Swingin’ Doors, a honky-tonk off Broadway.

His tenacity, hard work, and talent landed him a deal with Arista Nashville and the release of his debut song, “Drop Everything,” which was co-written by Rhett Akins, Matt Dragstrem, and Ashley Gorley. And like Anderson, the single is about taking chances, going after what you want, and having the juice to back it up.

Anderson is gaining a reputation for his steadfast belief in authenticity before trends. Billboard opined, that his debut “matches a masculine, southern voice with an anthemic chorus, a catchy melody, a swag lyric and a tight, retro-fit production.” And Taste of Country summed it up writing that “Drop Everything” is “reminiscent of a lot of things, but not a copycat of any.”

Carlton Anderson’s “Drop Everything” is available now to stream and download HERE

MITCHELL TENPENNY WILL TELL FANS ALL HIS SECRETS ON DEBUT ALBUM THIS DECEMBER

MITCHELL TENPENNY WILL TELL FANS ALL HIS SECRETS ON DEBUT ALBUM THIS DECEMBER

MITCHELL TENPENNY WILL TELL FANS ALL HIS SECRETS ON DEBUT ALBUM THIS DECEMBER

“Telling All My Secrets” Available December 14 on Riser House/Columbia Nashville

Nashville native Mitchell Tenpenny burst onto the scene earlier this year, as Billboard predicted, when his RIAA-certified Gold single, “Drunk Me” hit airwaves across the country. The breakthrough song has earned more than 77 million on-demand streams tracking 3 million a week, and has surpassed 500,000 units of downloads in the U.S. Now, the Riser House/Columbia Nashville artist is ready to formally introduce himself to fans with his debut album, Telling All My Secrets, available everywhere Friday, Dec. 14, 2018.

“The secret is out,” Tenpenny shared directly with fans yesterday. “So thankful to finally share what I’ve been working on with y’all.” The title track “Telling All My Secrets” is available now with pre-order HERE.

Growing up on Music Row under the watchful eye of his grandmother, industry veteran and first female CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Donna Hilley, Tenpenny is no stranger to the Music Row houses where he crafted his major label debut album. The soulful vocalist wrote 56 songs in preparation for the album narrowing it down to 11 strong tracks that tell his story including Top 15 single “Drunk Me,” and fan favorite “Alcohol You Later” and exclusively to digital and vinyl the polarizing track “Bitches.”  The tracks were featured on Tenpenny’s self-titled EP, which has garnered more than 91 million on-demand audio and video streams.

“I’m proud of the success of a track like ‘Bitches.’ It is always a favorite at our shows but for a new listener I understand it could be a bit divisive. The song isn’t about girls or guys, it is about cheaters and liars and haters and bullies. I hate bullies and I hate people that pick on others.” says Tenpenny of the song. “Sometimes there is only one word for a certain emotion. In this case it was bitch. I’m excited to ‘share all my secrets’ on this album so fans get the full picture of what I’m about.”
