‘WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER,’ CHALLENGES KARLEY SCOTT COLLINS ON NEW TRACK “MARLBORO REDS”

‘WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER,’ CHALLENGES KARLEY SCOTT COLLINS ON NEW TRACK “MARLBORO REDS”

NAMED TO CMT’S NEXT WOMEN OF COUNTRY 2024; OPENING FOR WILLIE NELSON ON SELECT DATES

MAKING EUROPEAN DEBUT AT UPCOMING C2C FESTIVAL

Vocal powerhouse Karley Scott Collins brings her soulful, smoky grit to channel her nana’s energy and charisma on her new track, “Marlboro Reds,” available now. Listen HERE.

The swampy rocker shines a light on Collins’ sharp songwriting, embodying the wit and wisdom that her family matriarch has earned during her colorful life.

“Growing up, when nana would take a smoke break, we’d sit together and she’d tell me all about her life,” said Collins. “I think I heard every curse word for the first time, heard about how she got her first speeding ticket on the way to see Merle Haggard, laughed harder than I probably ever have, and learned a lot about the best and worst parts of life. Sitting next to nana is one of my favorite places to be in the world. I hope when people hear this one, they feel like they’re right there with me, nana, and her Marlboro Reds.”

The Florida native was recently named to CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2024, recognized as one of the most exciting upcoming female artists in the format. Alumna of the program include Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Carly Pearce, Lainey Wilson and more. On Feb. 27, she’ll take the stage at Nashville’s City Winery for CMT Next Women of Country + Song Suffragettes writers round. Ticket information can be found here

Having toured with Larry Fleet throughout last fall, Collins will soon open for one of her musical idols – Willie Nelson – on select dates in February and is set to make her European debut at C2C Festival (March 2-10). Appearing in Rotterdam, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, London, Glasgow, and Belfast, the songstress will perform as part of the Country Music Association’s Introducing Nashville set.

RESTLESS ROAD IMPACT COUNTRY RADIO WITH SOARING SINGLE “LAST RODEO,” SCORING THE MOST-ADDED TRACK OF THE WEEK

RESTLESS ROAD IMPACT COUNTRY RADIO WITH SOARING SINGLE “LAST RODEO,” SCORING THE MOST-ADDED TRACK OF THE WEEK

SELL OUT NASHVILLE, NYC & LONDON SHOWS ON HEADLINE LAST RODEO TOUR

TOURING WITH TIM MCGRAW AND COLE SWINDELL LATER THIS YEAR

Country music trio Restless Road have barreled into 2024 with numerous sold out shows on their headline LAST RODEO TOUR, and now they’re bringing their hit single “Last Rodeo” to country radio. The song impacted country radio yesterday as the No. 1 most-added track of the week with 38 total adds.

Kicking off earlier this month, Restless Road’s headline LAST RODEO TOUR has sold out shows at New York City’s Gramercy Theater and Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl. MusicRow praised their Nashville appearance, sharing, “The sold-out night was filled with feel-good songs, perfect harmonies and fun cover jam sessions.” The group’s upcoming show in London on March 11 sold out during its pre-sale, prompting them to upgrade to a larger venue, the Lafayette. In addition to their headline LAST RODEO TOUR, Restless Road will return to the UK this spring for C2C: Country to Country music festival.  The guys will hit the road with Tim McGraw and Cole Swindell later this year. For tickets to upcoming shows and additional info, visit www.restlessroad.com.

Made up of Colton Pack, Garrett Nichols, and Zach Beeken, Restless Road’s standout harmony-driven vocals and “hard-hitting storytelling” (Country Now) are front and center on their debut album Last Rodeo, which was released last fall. The project features 18 tracks including the title track, which Country Central called “undeniably catchy,” and recently released songs “You Don’t Have To Love Me,” “Roll Tide Roll,” “I Don’t Wanna Be That Guy,” “Sundown Somewhere,” “On My Way,” their #1 Sirius XM hit “Growing Old With You” and fan favorite “Bar Friends.”

Contrary to the title of the album, Last Rodeo is just the beginning for the group. The title track is about resilience and staying focused on their goals, which this album is proof of. As Colton, Garrett and Zach have grown together, Last Rodeo encapsulates their journey through every twist and turn. With Colton married, Garrett currently engaged, and Zach single, the songs incorporate a wide breadth of stories about all different stages of life and love.

Last year, the “Spotify Hot Country Artist To Watch” toured alongside Kane Brown and Russell Dickerson, while also making stops at major country music festivals like Stagecoach and CMA Fest.

MEGAN MORONEY SHARES BRAND-NEW SONG “NO CALLER ID”

MEGAN MORONEY SHARES BRAND-NEW SONG “NO CALLER ID”

Today, Country phenomenon Megan Moroney premieres her brand-new song “No Caller ID” — the very first glimpse at the hugely anticipated next chapter for the Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records star. Kicking off what’s sure to be an unstoppable year, the post-breakup ballad is Moroney’s first new music since her massively acclaimed debut album LUCKYGo here to listen to “No Caller ID” now.

Written by MoroneyJessi AlexanderConnie Harrington, and Jessie Jo Dillon, “No Caller ID” further reveals the Georgia-bred artist’s gift for capturing the most nuanced emotions with both intimacy and impact — a talent that recently landed LUCKY on best-of-the-year lists from major outlets like The New York Times and Rolling Stone. To that end, “No Caller ID” tells the all-too-relatable tale of receiving a late-night phone call from an ex you’re trying your best to forget. After shedding light on everything she’s been through (“I’m two months deep in therapy/Been finally getting sleep/My friends quit checking up on me/’Cause I’m back on my feet”), Moroney builds to a gut-punching chorus delivered with aching intensity (“Here you come again and there you go/No coincidence, you always know/When I’m moving on, you move back in/With a half-ass ‘Sorry, how you been?’”). Although she channels everything from longing to frustration to the pain of self-betrayal (“Don’t you get tired of hurting me?/I’m tired of hurting me”), Moroney achieves a quiet sense of triumph in the song’s final moments, briefly turning “No Caller ID” into an anthem of self-protection.

Produced by Moroney’s frequent collaborator Kristian Bush (a multi-award-winning artist/songwriter/producer), “No Caller ID” sets her storytelling to an understated yet powerful sound graced with lush mandolin, delicate but hard-hitting live drums, and endlessly spellbinding layers of electric, acoustic, and steel guitar. While much of the song centers on a stunningly tender vocal performance from Moroney, “No Caller ID” reaches a glorious and soaring peak at the bridge thanks in part to some exhilarating guitar work from Benji Shanks and Justin Schipper.

“No Caller ID” arrives just weeks after Moroney took the stage for CBS’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash. Broadcasting from The Stage on Broadway, the “emo cowgirl” tore through a crowd-thrilling rendition of her RIAA 2X PLATINUM hit single “Tennessee Orange.” As she played a custom Gibson guitar bedazzled with over 3,000 rhinestones, the awestruck audience sang along to every word of Moroney’s No. 1 Country radio smash. Check out the performance here, and go here to read an exclusive PopCulture.com interview in which Moroney reflects on 2023 and all its incredible highlights.

Cementing her status as a veritable hitmaker, Moroney currently has two songs in the Top 30 on Country radio: “I’m Not Pretty” (the magnetic opening track to LUCKY) and “Can’t Break Up Now” (her recent collaboration with Old Dominion). Hailed by Billboard as a “cheeky, defiant clapback,” “I’m Not Pretty” first hit the Country radio airwaves back in August, the same week she premiered its wildly clever video (co-directed herself by Moroney herself) — check it out here.

Moroney’s ever-growing legion of fans may recognize “No Caller ID” from her sold-out THE LUCKY TOUR — a national headline run with stops at major cities and iconic venues coast-to-coast. This spring and summer, Moroney will take the stage at stadiums across the country as support for Kenny Chesney’s SUN DOWN 2024 TOUR. Lyrics to ‘Heaven’

This is perfect, come kiss me one more time

I couldn’t dream this up even if I tried

You and me in this moment feels like magic, don’t it

I’m right where I wanna be

Everybody’s talkin’ ‘bout heaven like they just can’t wait to go

Sayin’ how it’s gonna be so good, so beautiful

But lyin’ next to you in this bed with you

I ain’t convinced ‘cause I don’t know how

I don’t know how heaven, heaven could be better than this

I swear you’re an angel sent to this world

What did I do right to deserve you girl

I could stay here forever

I’d be fine if we never had to even leave this room

Everybody’s talkin’ ‘bout heaven like they just can’t wait to go

Sayin’ how it’s gonna be so good, so beautiful

But lyin’ next to you in this bed with you

I ain’t convinced ‘cause I don’t know how

I don’t know how heaven, heaven could be better than this

Everybody’s talkin’ ‘bout heaven like they just can’t wait to go

Sayin’ how it’s gonna be so good, so beautiful

But lyin’ next to you in this bed with you

I ain’t convinced ‘cause I don’t know how

I don’t know how heaven, heaven could be better than this

Could be better than this

I swear this is perfect, come kiss me one more time

TENILLE TOWNES DEBUTS “TRAIN TRACK WORKTAPES” DOCUMENTARY

TENILLE TOWNES DEBUTS “TRAIN TRACK WORKTAPES” DOCUMENTARY

BEHIND-THE-SCENES LOOK AT GUERRILLA-STYLE RECORDING PROCESS LIVESTREAMS TONIGHT

PERFORMS ON “CMT CAMPFIRE SESSIONS: CHRISTMAS EDITION” 12/6

Reigning CCMA Female Artist of the Year and ACM Award winner Tenille Townes will debut “Train Track Worktapes: The Documentary” tonight (12/5) during a[pp;; special livestream event (7:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. CT). Tune in HERE.

A behind-the-scenes look at the making of her roots-driven Train Track Worktapes EP, the documentary follows Townes on board the CP Holiday Train where the rhythm and rattle of the very train she traveled on became a source of infinite inspiration.

Train Track Worktapes, whose title harkens back to her stripped-down debut release Living Room Worktapes, was conceptualized, written, and recorded entirely during Townes’ experience on the CP Holiday Train. Covering more than 3,000 miles throughout southern Canada, Townes and her band played more than 65 shows in just over two weeks, sometimes in temperatures as low as -24◦F, right on the train as hydraulic doors lowered and became a stage. The CP Holiday Train benefits local food banks when their need is greatest, as each attendee brings donations to catch the free concert.

Townes, a producer on the project alongside guitarist Jaxon Hargrove, and her band got resourceful with their setup. A suitcase turned into a kickdrum. Tin foil and paper bowls became a shaker. Teacups made the perfect substitute for a triangle. They used boxed wine to cover air vents, so the sound didn’t bleed into the recordings. They borrowed equipment and microphones from the train cars housing the stage and gear and recorded mainly in the train’s caboose, sometimes capturing takes in 20-minute spurts between shows. In “Train Track Worktapes: The Documentary,” fans can watch the magic unfold.

The entertainer returns to the CP Holiday train this year, joining with BRELAND to visit towns around the northern United States through Dec. 11. See the full schedule here.

Townes is also set to appear in “CMT Campfire Sessions: Christmas Edition” tomorrow (12/6) airing at 9:00 p.m. ET / 8:00 p.m. CT on CMT where she’ll share Christmas traditions, what’s on her Christmas list, and perform a mix of traditional carols and original Christmas songs.

Stay in touch with Townes via her Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

BEN GOLDSMITH SHARES MESSAGE OF ENCOURAGEMENT WITH NEW SONG, “HOLD ON TO ME”

BEN GOLDSMITH SHARES MESSAGE OF ENCOURAGEMENT WITH NEW SONG, “HOLD ON TO ME”

WRAPS OPENING STINT ON SWITCHFOOT’S “THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN TOUR” THIS WEEKEND

Pop, genre-bending singer-songwriter Ben Goldsmith released his latest song today, “Hold On To Me.” Written and produced by Goldsmith, the song provides a message of encouragement for when life gets tough. Goldsmith performed all the instruments on the track as well. Listen here.

“I’m choosing to release ‘Hold On To Me’ because now more than ever, I feel that the world needs positivity, love, and light. This song is about letting people you love know that you’ll be there for them in challenging times,” Goldsmith said. “On a personal note, I want to dedicate the song to my twin little sisters. My mom has been ill on and off for two years and they have endured a lot for a young age. We leaned on one another to get though a lot of her illness. I love them so much. I hope everyone has someone they can hold on to during tough times.”

“Hold On To Me” arrives on the heels of the 17-year-old songsmith’s debut album, The World Between My Ears, which was released in September. Goldsmith co-wrote each of the 15 tracks on the album. The project includes his recently released song “Blown Away,” which is impacting Adult Album Alternative radio now. The World Between My Ears is a result of the singer traveling back and forth to Nashville during the Covid years to write songs, create his own sound, and woodshed in the studio with Brad Jones (Hayes Carll, Chuck Prophet, Ron Sexsmith), who he co-produced the project with. The album illustrates Goldsmith’s broad, melody driven and soulful musical palette.

2023 is shaping up to be a breakout year for Goldsmith, who was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “Emerging Artists 18 and Under” club for music this year. In June, just after Goldsmith graduated from high school (a year early), he announced his signing to Sony Music Nashville. He was offered a record deal on the spot after he performed for several executives last year. At the time, he was only 16 years old and without any major social media following. On the same day he announced his label signing, he shared that he penned deals with UTA and Universal Music Publishing Group Nashville as well.

The following week, the singer-songwriter took the stage at the iconic music festival, Bonnaroo. Goldsmith recently wrapped his opening stint on Jack Botts’s “Sucker for Sunsets North American Tour.” He appeared on several tour dates with Patty Griffin this fall, and is currently touring alongside Switchfoot.

Goldsmith’s musical journey started at four years old (where his violin teacher discovered he had perfect pitch) and has included jazz guitar studies at The Manhattan School of Music and Mannes College of Music in NY. Ben recorded an EP of original music at 11 years old and played all of the instruments. He developed a commanding onstage presence performing live in School of Rock programs, local community events, fairs and clubs by the time he was 12 years old. At 13 he perfected his guitar skills with Tomo Fujita, whose teaching résumé includes Berklee College of Music and John Mayer.

With a natural yet extraordinary gift for singing and songwriting and a passion for performing, Ben is blazing his own Converse-paved trail. For more information on Goldsmith, visit BenGoldsmith.net, and to watch past live performances, visit his YouTube.

KAMERON MARLOWE’S “TENNESSEE DON’T MIND”: A LOVE LETTER TO LIFE ON THE ROAD

KAMERON MARLOWE’S “TENNESSEE DON’T MIND”: A LOVE LETTER TO LIFE ON THE ROAD

The video highlights the juxtaposition of a fast-paced, high-energy life on the road, with the solitude that follows returning home Marlowe’s 13-stop headlining I Can Lie Tour continues nationwide

Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville’s standout Country star Kameron Marlowe brings his “signature smoky voice”(Grammy.com) to the forefront with his new single, “Tennessee Don’t Mind,” available everywhere now. Written by Charles Kelly and Daniel Tashian, the gritty track with a wild frontier-like instrumentation takes you on a cinematic journey through Marlowe’s push and pull relationship with the place he calls home.

WATCH: “TENNESSEE DON’T MIND” MUSIC VIDEO

“To me, Tennessee in this instance really represents Music City,” admits Marlowe. “There is a give and take with chasing this dream, and the past two years have been a whirlwind. There’s a lot of ‘life’ we miss out on being on the road – something no one prepares you for. I feel the most at home on the road and sometimes that’s the scary part. The music just consumes you and sometimes it’s hard to get out of your own head.”

Resonating like a woman who holds a man’s heart in her hands, the enduring pull of Tennessee remains steadfast to Marlowe, echoing a feeling often seen by artists who commit their lives to music. Nashville’s unwavering allure continues to draw him back time and time again, despite all the sacrifice and hardships that come along with chasing a career on the road as his “gravelly vocal” (Billboard) and rip-roaring fiddle lead the way.

The new single ushers in Marlowe’s next chapter of music, accompanied by a music video shot on his bus with his long-time band who all hail from his home state of North Carolina. As they head out of Nashville during the dead of night, the video highlights the complexities of life on the road and all the highs and lows that come with it. From the thrill of fans cheering your name and echoing lyrics back to you, to the video’s end as Marlowe faces the stark reality and isolating feelings that creep in when the stage lights dim.

Known to be one of the most recognizable voices in the format, Marlowe signed to Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville as a result of the success of his Platinum-certified hit, “Giving You Up,” and has since garnered over 680M+ on demand streams to date. Just last month, Marlowe featured on Megan Moroney’s deluxe album with the soul-stirring duet, “Fix You Too.”

Earlier this year, Marlowe graced the stage on tour with Luke Bryan and Jordan Davis and has now embarked on his 13-stop headlining I Can Lie Tour with special guests Elvie Shane, James McNair and Matt Schuster. Tapped as an artist on the rise by Opry’s NextStage program and CMT’s Listen Up class, 2023 has proved to be a year like never before.

Keep up with Marlowe on FacebookTwitterInstagramYouTube and TikTok and visit KameronMarlowe.com for tour dates and more information.

ABOUT KAMERON MARLOWE:

Fusing steel-toed toughness with a visceral approach to songwriting, Kameron Marlowe’s sound is built around edgy electric twang, smoldering shades of gritty rock and a touch of bluesy tenderness, living comfortably in the darker corners of the honky tonk.

Launching onto the music scene with unstoppable momentum fueled by his Platinum-certified debut release “Giving You Up,” Marlowe delivered his debut album We Were Cowboys, in 2022 produced by Dann Huff. The critically acclaimed collection includes Platinum-certified debut release “Giving You Up” and Gold-certified hit “Burn ‘Em All,” was one of 2022’s top streaming country albums on Spotify, and named one of the year’s best by Raised Rowdy and Entertainment Focus. Named to CMT’s 2023 Listen Up class of exciting new talent and the Opry NextStage program, Marlowe was also previously highlighted as One to Watch by Amazon Music, Pandora, Spotify, and more than a dozen media outlets. Now, Marlowe begins his sophomore chapter of music with “Tennessee Don’t Mind,” an ode to the complex intersection of a life on the road full of fans screaming your name, and the quiet solitude of returning home. The single that showcases the North Carolina native’s “gravelly voice” (Billboard) drops as Marlowe’s headlining I CAN LIE TOUR continues nationwide, following recent tours with Luke Bryan and Jordan Davis earlier this year.
